There are many options available for building a Morty Deck, and while there is no "perfect" team for all situations, some Mortys are definitely better than others. This guide breaks down our picks for the best Mortys for Raids, Trainer battles, and general gameplay.

Best Raid Mortys

This section lists what we think are the best Mortys to use in Raids. We've classified the Mortys into the following categories:
Debuffers, Rock Types, Paper Types, Scissor Types, and Normal Types.

When building a raid deck, you ideally want 1-2 "debuffer" Mortys that can lower the boss's Attack, Accuracy, Defense, and Evade, while also Paralyzing the boss. Raid bosses are currently immune to Poison and Mr. Meeseeks boxes, so don't bother with those. Speed also has no effect in raids since you will alway attack first.

Best Debuffers

To be successful in Raids, you'll need to debuff the Raid Boss's stats to both increase your damage output and increase your survivability. At high enough levels, the type of your debuffer won't matter (you'll still be able to do all the attacks you need before being defeated) so use the best one you have. These are the Mortys we believe are the best debuffers:

S-Tier: Morty Prohibido

Forbidden Morty is hands-down the best debuffer in the game, mainly because of his excellent moveset. Only one other Morty can give you an Attack Debuff, Accuracy Debuff, Defense Debuff, and Paralyze Debuff in the their 4 allotted attack slots, which makes him an invaluable "Swiss Army Knife" for raids. The only debuff missing is Evade.

S-Tier: Hijo de Gaia

Child of Gaia Morty is another fantastic debuffer. He can give you an Attack Debuff, Accuracy Debuff, Evade Debuff, and Defense Debuff in the their 4 allotted attack slots, which makes him very useful for raids. The only thing missing is Paralyze. Be sure to use Bunch Up x3 before you use Medicate x6 or you'll accidentally buff the enemy's Defense!

A-Tier: Morty Mafioso

Like Forbidden Morty, Nargles Morty can give you an Attack Debuff, Accuracy Debuff, Defense Debuff, and Paralyze Debuff in the their 4 allotted attack slots, which is crucial for raids. His stats may be slightly worse, but he's easier to find and the Attack and Defense buffs are a nice bonus.

Best Rock Raid Attackers

S-Tier: Morty Tesorero

With the strongest Rock-type move in the game (Suplex), highest Base Defense in the game (135), a great Base Attack (115), and both Attack and Defense buffs, this Morty is one of (if not the best) Rock-type attackers for Raids.

S-Tier: Morty de las Navidades presentes

Best Base Defense in the game (135), great Base Attack, a dual Rock/Absorb move (Juice) and an Attack buff move make this one of (if not the best) Rock-type attackers for Raids. If you don't have "Sing", you can run with "Love Yourself" instead, but be wary of accidentally Paralyzing yourself.

S-Tier: Morty Hotcakes

Great Base Attack, strong Rock-type attacks, an Attack buff, and an Absorb attack make this an excellent Rock-type Attacker for Raids. Can optionally swap out the Rock-type "Crush" attack for "Defend" if you want the Defense buff for extra survivability.

S-Tier: Morty Estratega

Slightly worse base stats, but excellent moveset including a strong Rock-type attack, a dual Rock-type/Absorb attack, and Attack and Defense buffs make this Morty one of the top Rock-type Raid attackers.

S-Tier: Morty Dragón

Excellent stats, Attack and Defense buffs, and Absorb moves make this a very nice Rock-type attacker for Raids, with the only downside of having just one good Rock-type attack. You may want to replace Hibernate with another attack (normal-type Fireball or weak Rock-type Slumber) if you find you can survive without the Defense buff. You could also swap in Soul Search as a Paralyze option and Soul Steal instead of Dragon Call if you want to run Dragon Morty as your Debuffer (just need to pair it with a Morty that can debuff Accuracy).

S-Tier: Morty el Verdadero

Excellent stats, but only one Rock-type attack available makes him slightly less desirable as a Rock-type attacker for Raids.

A-Tier: Morty Balón de Fútbol

Almost identical to The One True Morty, but with less worse stats and also suffering from only having one good Rock-type attack, which makes him slightly less desirable as a Rock-type attacker for Raids. You can swap out "Kick" or "Absorb" for "G-Force" if you'd rather have a Paralyze attack than a Defense buff or weak Rock-type attack.

A-Tier: Morty Jinete de Dragones

Slightly worse stats and no Defense buff/healing ability, but still a solid Rock-type attacker for Raids.

A-Tier: Morty Muñeco de Nieve

Good stats, Attack and Defense buffs, and two good Rock attacks make this a good Rock-type option for Raids.

A-Tier: Morty Fauno

Middling stats but a decent moveset that includes a relatively strong Rock-type attack, Absorb attack, and Attack/Defense buffs make this a good "last resort" Rock-type attacker for Raids. You can swap "Denial" for "Soul Search" if you want a Paralyze attack, or for "Kick" if you want another weak Rock-type attack instead of a Defense buff.

Best Paper Attackers

S-Tier: Morty Washington

Excellent Attack and Defense stats, has both an Attack and Defense buff, and great Paper attacks. If not using Defense buffs, you can substitute Fortify for Death Stare. This is the best Paper Attacker for Raids.

S-Tier: Morty Ameba

Lower Attack stat is offset by great Defense and Absorb ability (Osmosis), making it a fine Paper Attacker for Raids.

S-Tier: Morty Divertido

Good stats, two strong Paper attacks and an Attack and Defense buff - this Morty only lacks AP. if using Recitation, be sure to re-buff your Attack with Mortify every other attack.

S-Tier: Morty Mascota Salvaje

No Defense buff, but makes up for it with great attacks and stats. If your Debuffer Morty doesn't have Paralyze, you can swap Scrunch with Spear.

Best Scissors Attackers

S-Tier: Morty de las Navidades futuras

With the highest Base Attack in the game, a strong Attack buff, and a healing option with Grieve, this Morty is one of the best Scissors attackers. It's only downside is lack of AP.

Scary Morty's Regenerate attack will help him survive, and although his normal-type Swing attack has a higher (90) Power than scissors-type Probe (60), the type bonus combined with buffs/debuffs will ultimately make Probe the better option for dealing the most damage.
